Trying to heal chronic pain? What if trying to heal is actually counterproductive and is only keeping you in pain longer?
Why do you want to heal from your chronic pain?
Usually the answer is something like “because it’s better to be painfree”.
But what if “trying to heal” is actually keeping “being painfree” further away from you?
Stuck in chronic pain because of resistance?
What if judging something, like for example “worse” or “better”, is something only the mind does?
You are not your mind; you HAVE a mind.
Yet, are you letting your mind lead your life and you are just following?
Being painfree is not something you create or attain.
Instead, being painfree is something you ALLOW.
Being painfree is the same as being in chronic pain. They are both just an experience.
In your life, you can experience both sides of that coin; be painfree and be in chronic pain.
The only reason why you would stay stuck in for example the experience of having chronic pain, is because you are in resistance to that experience.
And with resistance I mean that you are not allowing that experience to just be there. You are not allowing yourself to fully experience it. You are not allowing yourself to fully feel this experience.
And this is how you stay stuck with that experience.
How are you resisting chronic pain?
And you might be asking now, then how am I resisting this?
Well, by judging the experience of being in pain as “worse” than the experience of being painfree.
By not accepting the experience.
By not just appreciating the experience (because every experience is there only for your highest good).
The experience is there for you to experience. Otherwise it wouldn’t be there in the first place.
But you can’t experience something fully if you are resisting it. If you’re only focused on trying to get it to go away. If you’re only focused on having a different “better” experience.
So the experience will stay stuck with you until you are letting the experience move through you.
Every, ANY experience, is there just to be experienced.
No experience, none, have a build in meaning. We (with our mind) GIVE it a certain meaning. But without meaning, every experience “just is”.
Looking objectively at it, it is just an experience. It does not have any build in meaning.
Chronic pain vs being painfree.
When you see either one of the experiences as “better”. This way you’re not just seeing them for what they are “an experience”. You are labeling them.
Remember, only the mind judges. This way you are letting your mind lead your life, when you are trying to change your situation from a mind’s perspective, because something is so called “better”.
Stop controlling the situation. Only the mind controls.
When you stop judging the situation as “worse” and “better” you can just look at the situation objectively, without judgement. And from that point, you can actually FULLY experience, fully feel your feelings of the situation instead of constantly judging it and trying to change it. Which will only keep you running in circles!
Life is NOW, but you’re avoiding it!
If you are not experiencing the NOW moment but you are only focused on getting to that “better” situation, you are just always living in the future.
But the future does not exist. You only have the NOW. You are living NOW. But you are completely missing your life because you are not experiencing it, you are only focused on the future. And this goes for EVERYTHING in your life, are you actually living the experience and really feeling the feelings of it? Or are you constantly focused on trying to get to a “better” situation and avoiding how you feel about the NOW?
“Good”, “bad”, “better”, “worse” etc etc, don’t exist, they are just labels created by the mind. There’s is only “different” experiences, but not “better” or “worse”. Just different.
Stop living life from the controlling mind. YOU don’t get to decide WHEN your situation exactly will be different.
You get to accept the situation fully and you get to ALLOW a different experience. Which can happen if you fully accept your current situation.
How do I know? Because everything is energy. Emotions are energy in motion, e-motion. And so, energy won’t stay still in one place unless you resist the flow of it. In other words, when you don’t allow the energy (emotion) to flow THROUGH you, because you don’t accept it, because you judge it etc.
Trying to heal
Saying that you are “trying to heal something” or “trying to change something” is just saying something isn’t right. You are judging the situation that you are “trying to heal” as a “bad situation”, as “wrong”, and so it should be “better”. That doesn’t sound like acceptance at all!
All these words are fully coming from the logical mind / the ego:
– bad
– good
– better
– worse
And there are many more….but I think you get the point.
You are creating separation, by dividing the experience that has no meaning at all into two different sides “good” and “bad”.
And the mind will always keep trying for the “better” because you decided to see it as “better”. You will always be trying to get somewhere. You will never be living fully in the NOW moment.
However, the NOW moment is all you have.
You are living NOW.
But you’re not actually living NOW because you let your mind lead your life which means you are always living in the future or the past!
But the future and the past don’t exist! They are imagination. They don’t exist in this NOW moment, other than in your mind!
When you see every experience just for what it is; an experience.
When you see every experience as equal, because it will give you exactly the experience you need at that moment.
When you see every experience from the perspective of pure awareness, with acceptance and appreciation of the experience.
THEN you allow yourself to fully experience it, to fully feel the feelings of it.
Which means that the energy can flow again.
Once you have fully experienced it, once the energy has moved THROUGH you, space has been created for new energy, for new experiences to come into your life.
Now the experience of “being painfree” can be allowed in, because now there’s actually space for it….
You either “accept and allow” or you “don’t accept and resist”.
You can’t do both at the same time.
So what are you deciding on from now on, after reading this blog?
